Day 17: An Album A Day - Angel Debut Album

Day 17 of an album a day is the debut release from a band called “Angel,” released in 1975. This is another album I hadn’t spun in 40+ years. It was a pleasant surprise! This is 70s rock similar to Styx but a little harder rock and heavy on the keyboards. The Tower is a great song and one that did get some airplay at the turn of the decade into the 80s. Gregg Giuffria, the keyboardist, is still writing and playing but I haven’t heard any of his music. He played with a band called “House of Lords” in the late 80s. I’ll definitely be digging more into the band and solo projects now that I’ve listened to this album. A solid 7/10 is my books.
