Day 19: An Album A Day - Adapter Adapter Sleep Spell

Day 19 of an album a day is something we missed earlier in the alphabet because I had about 30 albums I hadn’t sorted into my collection yet. Adapter Adapter is a heavy stoner blues 3 piece band out of Providence, Rhode Island. ”Sleep Spell” is the bands fourth album released in 2023. It would make a great soundtrack to any H.P. Lovecraft inspired movie. Slow, heavy, doomish, and haunting. It reminds me a little of early Black Sabbath but this trio definitely has their own sound. This album begs the question, “was Christopher Walken in the background yelling I NEED MORE HARMONICA when this was recorded?” Proceed with caution.
