Day 22: An Album A Day - Ape Machine Mangled By The Machine

Day 22 of an album a day. It’s Ape Machine! A stoner rock band out of Portland, Oregon. I found these guys perusing a record store in Montreal. After a quick listen, I knew I had to have it (and a few others of course). Mangled by the Machine was Ape Machine’s third album released in 2013. Like so many stoner/fuzz rock bands of the 2010s, Ape Machine has an early Sabbath sound. According to their website, the name Ape Machine is a nod to the days of reel-to-reel magnetic tape audio recording.
