Day 32: An Album A Day - Triumph Rock and Roll Machine

Day 32 of an album a day. I had to skip yesterday because we got some tragic news in our family yesterday. My brother Roy passed away suddenly over the weekend. I decided to cheat on the order and do a tribute to him by playing Triumph’s Rock and Roll Machine, released in 1977. I was a huge fan of the band very early and even joined their fan club. When I found out Triumph was going to be playing in Swift Current I asked Mom and Dad if I could go. Roy, being the great person he always was, volunteered to drive me down to the concert. It was the first rock concert I saw and it meant the world to me at the time. He was a huge Triumph fan as well.Throughout the years we always talked about music and, of course, his love of cars. I can’t believe he’s gone. It’s hard to know I won’t ever get to have those conversations again. Pick up the phone and call someone you love. You never know when they’re going to leave us. Rest in peace, brother.
