All we have left for A albums is ACDC, Aerosmith and April Wine. We love music variety so staying with just 3 bands over the next two weeks may get monotonous and affect my will to objectively rate these albums. However, I won't have an issue with "For Those About To Rock." It's a classic I always enjoy.

Released in the winter of 1981, For Those About To Rock was the follow-up release to the enormously successful "Back in Black" release and the second album with Brian Johnson as lead singer. Expectations were high! The album was a great effort but would not reach the peaks of Back in Black. Following the massive success of Back in Black, Lange’s perfectionism became a point of friction. For Those About to Rock stands as the final, thunderous chapter of their partnership.

I first recall listening to this album as a teenager cruise around town in the back of an aquaintance's '73 Cougar. He had a pretty decent sounding car stereo for the day, even though it was an 8-track. It was snowy and cold so when "Snowballed" played, it fit the scene. We partied to this album frequently and it solidified ACDC as the band of our youth. Sadly, it was also the last great album the band produced for a very long time.
